Anubroto Chatterjee produce any musical & rhythmic phrase when he was only three years' old. Born in a musical family in 1985, where he could literary breathe music. Anubrata is the gifted son of Smt. Alpana & Pt. Anindo Chatterjee. He became the last 'ganga-bandh' sagrid (disciple) of Guru Jnan Prakash Ghosh in 1992. Presently he is under the guidence of his illastritious father with traditional aspect of "Farukhabad" style of Tabla.
His golden performances were at Salt lake Music Conference, Rama Krishna Mission with Pt. Hari Prasad Chourasia. His tabla solo was highly appreciated & praised by almost the whole musician circuit of Mumbai in 1996 organised by Pt. Hari Prasad Chourasia for his "Vrindaban Gurukul", Golden Jubilee of Doverlane Music Festival 2002, Sankatmochan Sangeet Samaroh, Varanasi 2002.
In 2001, he was ranked 1st in All India Radio Music Competition and was honoured with the President award. In 2002, he was awarded the prestigious Padmabhusan Pt. Nikhil Ghosh memorial award by the Music Forum of India.
He has already toured Europe in 1989 & 1991. He has also toured U.S.A. in 2001. He has been acknowledged by music lovers around the globe as a very talented tabla player. As a debutante Anubrata also earned praises from Ustad Ali Akhbar Khan, Pt. Kishan Maharaj, Pt. Shymal Bose, Pt. Shankar Ghosh, Ustad Amjad Ali Khan, Pt. Shiv Kumar Sharma, Pt. Hari Prasad Chourasia, Pt. Swapan Chaudhary, Pt. Ajoy Chakraborty and Ustad Zakir Hussain.
