Santanu RoyChoudhury is no new name to the music lovers of India. His distinction as a singer with his innovative style and depth of voice has already rocked the music world. A brief note about his performance and style is given below :

During the last twelve years he has performed with wide appreciation at Rabindrasadan, Mahajatisadan, Netaji Indoor Stadium, etc. His performance has been applauded in leading dailies in Bengali and English as well as some weekly magazines.

He has also performed many solo programmes in various important places in West Bengal along with reknowned artists like Manna Dey, Arati Mukherjee, Suchitra Mitra, Kanika Bandopadhya, etc. from the same platform.

He has been also performed in Delhi at least twice a year regularly on different occasions at Taj Hotel, Kali Bari, Book Fair along with the renowned artists Bhosle, Udit Narayan, Sonu Nigam, Alka Yagnik, etc.

His performance in Mumbai at Taj Mumbai, Oberol, Nehru Centre, Andheri, Malad, Mumbai High Court programmes is noteworthy and has won due appreciation. Performed an one hour solo programme in the Destination West Bengal for Industrialists organized at Mumbai Oberoi.

He also has been invited by Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh for performance at Hyderadad and Cultural Minister, Govt. of Tripura in various government programmes.

He has been to Bangladesh for at least six times during last two years and performed on different occasions. His performing places include Ramna Maidan, Dhaka Club, Gulshan Club, Uttra Club, Hotel Sonargaon, Dhanmandi Club, Chittagaon Club, Chittagaon Engineers Institute programme, etc.

The Indian association of Abudhabi commemorated their 25 years completion with Santanu Night where two and a half hour solo programme was deeply appreciated by the large gathering. The occasion ended with a well-organised felicitation.

He is also regularly playing back songs for cinemas, Telefilms, TV Serials and jingles. Telefilms and cinemas are winning appreciation and awards. He was adjudged the Best Play Back Singer For TV serial in 1998 and awarded Anada Puroskar.

In this year he was invited by Bichitra, a leading Bengali Association in U.S.A. and he performed very successfully in many programmes at Detroit and California. He recently nade a tour to Dubai and Abudhabi and performed successfully. His performance has been well acclaimed in all the places.
